Hurricane Earl is headed our way, but do not let that deter you from coming to visit Cape Cod. The High winds and rain are only supposed to effect us here on the Cape possibly tonight and early tomorrow morning. That is even if the hurricane gets close to us, it may just be offshore or it may come in closer, we will not really know until it happens. Labor day weekend is a big weekend here in Eastham, lots of great things going on and its the last big weekend of the season. So grab some friends and some beach chairs and head on down to the Cape for the weekend, the weather may turn out to be the best of the year, you never know.

If you are into stretching the mind body and soul, you may want to try out yoga on the beach. Just up the street from the Town Crier Motel you will find one of the most beautiful beaches in the World, Coast Guard Beach. You can join a group of yoga goers and a park ranger and a yoga instructor every Saturday morning throughout the months of July and August. Reservations are required and you can make yours today by calling 1-508-255-3421. Each yoga meet up is held in the early morning. There is no fee for this event. So grab some comfy clothes and some water and head on over to Coast Guard Beach in Eastham for some relaxing yoga by the sea.
Do you like to stroll the beaches and shorelines of Cape Cod? If so, there is a shoreline stroll scheduled for August 6th, at Great Island in Wellfleet. Meet in the parking lot at 10:30am and take a stroll from 10:30 – 11:30. You will enjoy a nice walk with other interested people and learn about the island. There are several ponds and beaches located in each town on Cape Cod, they are a great place to take a walk, swim or just enjoy the scenery. Just ask Judy or Joe at the front desk for directions to Great Island in Wellfleet, it is only 10 minutes away by car.

Every Monday and Wednesday throughout the months of July and August there is a campfire at Nauset Light Beach here in Eastham. Meet the Park Rangers in the parking lot and walk down together for an evening of fun. Bring a beach chair, blanket or towel and enjoy a campfire sing along with everyone.
