The Eastham Cultural Council presents the 2009 Hands On The Arts Festival on the Windmill Green, Saturday June 20 and Sunday June 21, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The festival will be celebrating its 11th year. This Eastham festival is great and hands on for both kids and adults alike. Anyone can try to craft with local artisans and learn how to make things with their hands. There will be booths for painting, printmaking, fiber arts, jewelry making and more. There will also be some great live entertainment such as a puppeteer, storytelling, musical instruments, a potters wheel and more. Local artists will have their work on display for purchase. While on your next vacation to Eastham on lovely Cape Cod you should stop by the Wellfleet Flea Market. Located only a few mile away from us right on Route 6 you can enjoy shopping for antiques, collectibles, clothing, accessories, jewelry and so much more. The Flea Market is open Saturday, Sunday and Holiday Mondays from April 18th through October. Hours are 8 AM to 3 PM and only costs $3 per car. On premises is a snack bar serving fries, burgers, chips, candy, soda and more. They also have a mini golf and Dairy Bar and Grill Restaurant to enjoy when your done shopping. One of the best things to do in the Spring is take a stroll or bike ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Watch the sunset or the sunrise at one of Easthams many beautiful beaches. We have the luck of having a bay side and ocean side to Cape Cod, which means you can watch the sun go down or come up right over the ocean each day. Stroll the beaches and collect shells and make sandcastles and see if you can spot any dolphins and whales in the water.

Located just up the street from is here at the Town Crier Motel is the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. There you can find 1100 acres of wildlife, beaches, freshwater ponds and woodlands. There are some very nice scenic trails that meander through Wellfleet’s woods. There are also walk, workshops and cruises available through the Audubon.
