Halloween is just around the corner and this is the perfect time of year to get to the Cape for a fun and scary getaway with the family.  There are so many great Halloween activities going on this week and weekend here on the Cape.  Some of the events that are going on for Halloween this year are:

This years thirty second annual Windmill Weekend will be held on September 11, 12 and 13. Windmill Weekend has a little something for everyone. To kick off the weekend there will be a fish and chicken fry at the Eastham/Orleans Elks Club. There will be a band playing some great music outside on stage. There will also be a talent show on stage and awards ceremony. There will be a craft show at Nauset High School on Saturday from 10 to 4. Head back to the Elks lodge on Saturday afternoon for a vehicle show. Then Sunday morning there will be a pancake breakfast held at the Elks lodge. At the windmill green there will be booths setup with activities for everyone, raffles, local organizations and more. On Sunday afternoon there will be a parade starting at Brackett Road and goes all the way to the windmill green.

It is that time of year, Christmastime. This is a great time of year for us here at the Town Crier Motel. We enjoy all of the holiday lights up and down route 6 as well as the holiday shopping and cheer. Lucky for us the weather is just beautiful and the sun is shining brightly. We have had some pretty decent weather this Fall/Winter and we did get some snow a couple weeks back. We are all closed up for the winter and are glad to have some free time this winter to organize, stretch and enjoy for the next few months.

We want to thank all of our guests for staying with us this year. We have a wonderful summer and we hope everyone enjoyed their vacations on Cape Cod. We are now closed for the 2008 season and we will re-open in April of 2009. Check back soon as we will be redesigning our website with a new fresh look for this next year. Have a great Winter! Thanks to the recent rain our flowers that we had just planted out front are growing into beautiful full bushes of flowers and greenery. We are very excited about our new addition of flowers in the front of our motel and we will be posting some photo’s as soon as they are all done growing. Flowers make such an inviting feel to any area. Our poolside breakfast buffet was great this weekend and we will be serving daily beginning tomorrow.
