Then On the evening of July 3rd there will be fireworks that can be seen from any bay side Eastham beach. On July 4th at the Eastham Schoolhouse Museum there will be an old fashioned celebration with lemonade, cookies, and ice cream from 1-4pm. Come on down to the Cape and enjoy a great fun filled weekend this 4th of July with the family!
It has been raining for so long that I cannot even remember what the sun looks like. Luckily this past Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day, even though the weather channel had predicted rain all day. On Saturday I saw people out riding bikes, walking dogs, eating ice cream, walking the beaches and mini golfing right next door at Arnolds restaurant. When the sun does come out Eastham livens and there is soo much to enjoy. I really do hope that this rain will stop very soon so we can move on into Summer. The fourth of July is just around the corner and we need some great weather so we can enjoy the fireworks shows and the local parades.
On July 1st from 5-8pm there will be a cookout at First Encounter Beach in Eastham. The cookout is being sponsored by the Eastham Chamber of Commerce and there will be plenty of food and refreshments. All food will cost only $1-2 and the proceeds will benefit Eastham non profit groups such as: Cape Cod Children’s Place, the ECEC -Eastham Committee on Early Childhood, and the Boy Scouts. There will be an AWESOME grilling station that is located on the back of a huge converted oil truck. All stainless steel construction and a great sight for the kids to enjoy. There will also be music by Eric’s Steel Drum Band. Everyone is invited and there is no fee to join.
