Well, it is safe to say that Fall has arrived here on Cape Cod.  The temperatures during that day have been hitting 70 degrees, and the temperatures at night have been in the 50′s.  Still great weather to enjoy strolls on the beach, biking the Cape Cod Rail Trail, dining at local restaurants, shopping in and around Eastham, kayaking, hiking the local trails and more. Don’t let the cool weather keep you from enjoying all the great activities that are available to you in the Fall on Cape Cod.

This weekend will mark the first weekend of Fall 2012.  The Summer will be over and the cooler weather will be heading our way.  So far, the days have been nice and sunny and with temperatures still in the upper 60′s and 70′s, the evenings have been cooler in the 50′s.  This is great weather for hiking the many fabulous trails right here in Eastham, as well as walking along many of the oceanside and bayside beaches, enjoying a bike ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail and eating local cooked food from some of the best restaurants around.

Also, this weekend is Celebrate our Waters, which is being held in Orleans.  There will be events for kids of all ages which include walks, talks, tours, bike trips, kayaking on Pleasant Bay and Town Cove, sailing, rowing, sand castle building on Skaket Beach, and a bonfire on Nauset Beach to name a few.

Come on down to Eastham this week, enjoy NO crowds, NO lines and all the beautiful attractions in peace and quiet.  Now that school has started, the week days are much quieter than the weekends and now that we have had enough rain to fill 50 buckets, we are waiting for the sun to peek through the clouds so we can go for a nice walk on the beach.

This weeks activities include:  Bingo at the ELKS Tuesday at 5Pm, Story time for kids at the Eastham Library Friday at 10:30AM and Nauset Lighthouse open tour on Sunday from 1-4PM.

Come and enjoy these last couple weeks of SUMMER before it is gone till next year.  Restaurants are still open, as well as beaches, ponds, mini golf, cinemas, drive in and so much more.

What is happening in Eastham this week you ask??  Well, there are only a few more weeks of Summer left, so we are busy making sure we enjoy all that Cape Cod has to offer before everything starts closing for the Winter.  One of the really fun events going on is Windmill Weekend.  An annual event that is held at the Eastham Windmill Green featuring kids activities, band concerts, arts and crafts shows, square dancing, BBQ food and of course a HUGE parade!  You will not want to miss this event which is happening on September 7th and 8th 2012!  For more information visit the Eastham Windmill Weekend website.
