Things to Do in the Sping on Cape Cod

May 12, 2009

Think that there is not much to do in the Springtime on Cape Cod? Think again. There are so many things to do on lower Cape Cod and in Eastham. Whether you are visiting with your family, friends or alone the activities and attractions are endless.

The weather is just starting to get warmer each day and the sun is shining brightly more and more. If you look around Eastham you will notice flowers popping up and gardens starting to grow. One of the best things to do in the Spring is take a stroll or bike ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Our motel is conveniently located right at the bike trail, so there is no need to even get in your car, just walk out your door and viola, your there.

Arnold famous restaurant is now open right next door on weekends for lunch and dinner. Check out there brand new website here. They serve fresh seafood, burgers, salads, raw bar and so much more. They even have a mini golf course for the kids to enjoy!

Watch the sunset or the sunrise at one of Easthams many beautiful beaches. We have the luck of having a bay side and ocean side to Cape Cod, which means you can watch the sun go down or come up right over the ocean each day. Stroll the beaches and collect shells and make sandcastles and see if you can spot any dolphins and whales in the water.

There are some great shops right here in Eastham selling items such as: local art, antiques, clothing, collectibles, candy, souvenirs and more.

So what are you waiting for, come on down and enjoy a weekend or a week in lovely Eastham this Spring, you will not be disappointed.

White out on Cape Cod

February 3, 2009

The Cape is covered in snow and all you see when you go outside is white white white! The tree’s are covered, the roads are covered, the grass is covered and it is still snowing outside. We have had some other good snow days in the past few months and the snow doesn’t usually stay more than a couple of days. The Weather Channel says that we should be getting snow for the next 24 hours. If it keeps up at the pace it is falling, we should end up with 6 inches of snow or more. Bundle up and stay warm until the Spring.

Christmas is Just Around the Corner

December 5, 2008

It is that time of year, Christmastime. This is a great time of year for us here at the Town Crier Motel. We enjoy all of the holiday lights up and down route 6 as well as the holiday shopping and cheer. Lucky for us the weather is just beautiful and the sun is shining brightly. We have had some pretty decent weather this Fall/Winter and we did get some snow a couple weeks back. We are all closed up for the winter and are glad to have some free time this winter to organize, stretch and enjoy for the next few months.
