Sunny and 60′s Today

May 19, 2011

Finally, after several days of rain, rain and more rain we have sun! Today has turned out to be gorgeous, with a shining sun up high in the sky, temperatures in the 60′s and the grounds are drying up a bit. We have seen several families on the Cape Cod Rail trail today as well as many groups touring the Cape visiting all the historic lighthouses along the way. Only 32 more days until summer begins, and boy we can’t wait for the weather and the people to arrive. We have been working on our menu for the restaurant as well as landscaping around the front of the motel and everything is coming along very nicely. Be sure to make your reservations sooner rather than later, you can do so right online 24 hours a day, just click here.

If you are thinking of coming to Eastham this May, you will be happy to know that the Nauset Lighthouse will be open for tours during the month of May on Sunday afternoons. Nauset Light is a historic lighthouse located just up the street from the Town Crier Motel. Nauset Light is owned by the Coast Guard and was moved 300 feet back in 1996 to avoid losing it all together. Tours are done on a donation basis and are a great way to learn about the history of Cape Cod and its shores. Don’t forget there are also great restaurants nearby as well as fantastic beaches and walking trails. Come on down and stay with us this May and enjoy Spring on Cape Cod.

Stormy Weather

April 5, 2011

The weather on Cape Cod today is not soo great at all. The weather report is calling for high winds and rain all day. The good news is that the temperature is in the 50′s outside, which is a good sign. Too bad we cannot enjoy it today. On a day like today, it is nice to sit inside with a cup of tea and put my feet up, maybe read a book. Wait for this nasty weather to pass by and then enjoy the outdoors another day.

Pretty soon summer will be upon us, and if we are lucky like last year, we will have some gorgious weather to enjoy! We can’t wait for summer to come our way so we can enjoy long walks on the beaches, swimming, hiking, biking and just enjoying the great place that we live on, Cape Cod. Now is the best time to plan your trip for the summer. The Cape is a very special place and people book their rooms early, so hop on board and reserve your stay today! You will not regret it!

We are very excited to the REAL nice weather to come along and we can walk around in our shorts and t-shirts again. Each day seems to get better and better, lets hope this good weather keeps up.
