The past couple of days have been a reminder that Spring is just around the corner. Yesterday the sun was shining bright and the temperature was in the 50′s. Spent most of the day outside. Today, we have the same thing, sunny, 50′s and beautiful. No wind, no clouds, just a shining sun! This weather is perfect for taking a stroll on the beach or on one of the great walking trails on Cape Cod. Pretty soon the weather will be nice enough to lay out on the beach on a bathing suit and get a tan.
We hope this nice weather will keep up, it has been a cold Winter here in Eastham, we need Spring and Summer to come very soon!

The past couple days have brought a little sun and some warmth, although it does not seem that warm. While the temperatures have been in the low 40′s during the day, when the wind picks up it feels more like the mid 20′s. Cannot complain too much though, as it has been awhile since we had rain. I see the weatherman is calling for snow tomorrow, hopefully this snow will stick and will actually be something we can enjoy.
This week is also school vacation week for most kids all over the country, which means families are looking for things to do. Luckily we have a great rec department here in Eastham and they have some great activities planned for the week.

It is officially 2010 and we have snow on the ground! The weather has been on the chilly side and the first snow we had melted for New Years and then it came back again this past weekend full force. The motel is covered with snow and it looks gorgeous. I took the picture in this post today, the snow has melted a little, but overall, we are covered. This weather is great for snow shoeing and cross country skiing on the bike trails. I noticed the trail has almost untouched snow and it is thick and fluffy.
Off to enjoy the snow while it lasts, Happy New Year!

We are soo excited for all of the snow that has fallen on Cape Cod in the past two days. Everything is covered is gorgeous fluffy white snow and the sun is shining. Today was a good day to shovel out the walkways and enjoy the snow while it lasts, because the snow on the Cape does not usually last for very long. The temperature has been in the low 30′s and it feels nice as the wind has died down a bit.
Christmas is just around the corner and we want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! If anyone would like to come visit the Cape this Winter, please call ahead and book your reservation as we are only taking phone reservations up until March 2nd. 1-800-932-1434

Thanksgiving has come and gone and we are now getting ready for Christmas Season. As you drive along Route 6 and Route 6A here on the Cape you will notice house after house decorated with lights and decorations. People are putting up their Christmas trees and shopping for gifts. We have yet to see any snow here on the Cape, but maybe as we get closer to Christmas some snow will cover the ground for a nice festive look and feel. The weather is certainly cold enough for snow, the temperatures have been in the 30′s and 40′s lately. The holidays are such a great time to get together with friends and family and enjoy all that life has to offer. Enjoy the holidays and stay warm!

On December 5th from 10am to 2pm bring the entire family to Eastham and enjoy some holiday fun! Santa arrives at 10am at the Gift Barn. There will be a moon bounce for all of the kids to enjoy as well as refreshment and more. There is a trolley that will be taking people back and forth between the Red Barn and the Elks Lodge. The Elks Lodge on McKoy Road will have holiday games and crafts projects, face painting and balloons, an obstacle course, pony rides, GymKids demonstration, and more! Bring an unwrapped toy for the toy drive (toys for tots). This is a fun event for the whole family and it is a big hit, so get there early!
